Q) Whats the difference between a Pre Cut Decking Kit and a Standard Decking Kit?

A) A Standard Decking Kit requires some cutting to size. A full cutting list & installation guide is included.

Q) How difficult is it to construct a Standard Decking Kit?
A) An average size deck of 3.6m x 3.0m should take no longer than an hour to cut. Installation time should be between 4 and 6 hours to complete for someone with little DIY skills.

Q) Do I need to purchase any other materials to complete my Decking Kit?
A) NO, all materials and fixings are supplied. This includes the Sub Frame (4" x 2" CLS Timber) and Redwood decking boards (FSC sourced Scandanavian Redwood)

Q) What tools do I need?
A) For a Pre Cut Decking Kit, you only require a cordless screwdriver, tape measure and a level. For a Standard Decking Kit you will also need a hand saw / jigsaw or chop saw.

Q) Do I need to treat the Kit?
A) All materials, including the srcews have been treated to provide a 15 year protection against rot.

Q) What colour is the Decking boards?
A) When the decking kit arrives, the boards can range in colour and shades. This is down to the treatment. Within 14 days of the decking boards being in sunlight, they will all blend to a light brown colour.

Q) Do I get charged for delivery if in Scotland?
A) All orders (over £50), includes Free Delivery to the whole of the UK (mainland).

Q) How long is delivery?
A) If ordering a Standard Decking Kit within 5 working days, a Pre Cut Decking Kit within 10 working days.

Q) What payments do you accept?
A) Payment can be made via any major debit / credit card. Other means of payment include cheque, postal order or bank transfer made payable to ProDeckUK

Q) Is finance available?
A) Finance can be arranged on any orders over £500

Q) I need a different size than listed, is this possible?
A) We can produce any size or shapes kit either in Standard form or Pre Cut.

Q) Is your materials FSC sourced?
A) Yes all materials are FSC sourced.

Q) My ground is un even, do I need to raise the Decking Kit?
A) Over a height of around 0.3m (30cm) it is advisable to use 4" x 4" Posts. Under this size can be raised using slabs, bricks, slate etc.

Q) Do I need Weed Membrane?
A) If laying your deck on a soil or grassed area, it is advised that Weed Membrane is placed down first.

Q) Could ProDeckUK install the Decking for me?
A) We have installation teams that cover the UK. However, for a straight forward Deck 95% of people could easily construct following our guide lines.
