Q) My ground is uneven / on a slope, how can I install a decking kit?
A) For this, you require a "raised deck". There is a £40 charge to raise your kit. The sub-frame and decking is then lifted off the ground and supported using 4" x 4" posts.
Q) What is the height of the finished deck?
A) A "standard" kit (not raised), is 134mm off ground level. A "raised" kit can be lifted to any height.
Q) Does the decking to be treated?
A) All materials supplied by ProDeck UK have been pre-treated for outdoor durability.
Q) Which direction does the decking boards run?
A) The kit can be made to suit customer requirements.Although when ordering for example a 2.4m x 4m kit we would always cut the decking into 2.4m lengths as we always cut the lengths of the first size on the order.
Q) How easy and how long will it take me to install a decking kit?
A) Its extremely easy to install a decking kit. It is designed so that anyone can manage to put together. A decking kit of 3m x 3m should take no longer than 3 hours to complete.
Q) What tools are needed?
A) For a standard decking kit, a level and a cordless scewdriver. For a raised kit, add a shovel for digging posts.
Q) How long is delivery*?
A) We aim to deliver all kits within 5 - 10 working days. However, we do ask customers to allow upto 15 working days.
